During this time, the famous Davis Farmer’s Market will have food trucks, local farmer produces, music and performances. Before the midterm season hits, make sure you come to enjoy the relaxing and warm spring evening with your friends.

Spring Event #2: Davis Cherry Blossom Festival April 7th – 8th

Have you ever seen rosy, delicate sakura cherry blossom petals blowing through breezy spring winds? 

On upcoming Saturday and Sunday April 7th-8th, to commemorate the Japanese Cherry Blossom festival, you can enjoy the Davis Cherry Blossom festival consisting of Taiko drums, dances, music performances, drinks, food, and great company. The event is open to public, free entry, and perfect to mark the spring time!

This Friday from 5:00 pm - 10:00 pm, April 6th 2018, consists of a lively evening on the UC Davis Quad, brought by the ASUCD Entertainment Council. Every spring quarter, Associated Students of UC Davis host this spring concert with a special (shhh! Always a secret until revealed) music artist whose identity will be disclosed on April 2nd, 2018! Previous main artists who have performed at Lawntopia include: EDM DJ Elephante, Mako, Giraffage, and Zion I.

On April 2nd, 2018, UC Davis Extension – Center for International Education commences its spring quarter, with a noticeably warmer weather in town.

Take time to reflect: what else has renewed other than the school grades? Spring in many cultures symbolize a new beginning – encourage yourself to refresh and learn, like the little tree buds embracing new individual growth. Some IEPP students may join us for another quarter, while others are new to the IEP classes at the International Center.

           At UC Davis Extension Center for International Education, students strengthen their ambitions and passions in their fields. Like the former IEPP students Abdulrhman Alali and Aziz Aslaif from South Arabia, they started out with an English program in the International English Professional Programs, then decided to continue their education in Davis to pursue Master's degrees, and eventually, completed their Ph.D at UC Davis.

On March 29, IEPP spring quarter new student orientation will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.! This is an excellent opportunity for students to engage in all of the wonderful aspects the campus has to offer.

Finals Week Study Session #MotivationMonday

Well, have no worries! The International Center is holding a study session in the MPR (Multi-Purpose Room) today March 12th from 3-5 p.m. to create a stress-free, distraction-free environment.

Intercultural Research Project: What Do You Want To Learn?

Please join us in the MPR this Wednesday afternoon for the Communication and Culture, English for Science and Technology, and English for Global Business Intercultural Research Project Poster Presentations. 

Students will be presenting the topics they have been researching over the past three weeks while studying here in Davis.  This is a wonderful opportunity to meet fellow international students and learn about their thoughts, perceptions and interests regarding communication, culture, technology and business.

Field trip to Napa

Our hardworking Graduate English for Science and Technology program students went on a Napa Winery field trip! They visited V. Sattui Winery in St. Helena that is the second most visited winery in Napa, California, and the graduate students from several renowned Japanese universities (Osaka, Waseda, Chuo, Ritsumeikan Universities) enjoyed learning about the wine-making technology in Napa.
