Social Media has revolutionized the way businesses interact with the public by opening channels of communication that reach a wide audience. At UC Davis International Programs, we believe social media to be a great tool to communicate with current and prospective students, partners and recruiting agencies and stay in touch with our alumni. Each social media platform under International Programs purview allows us to cater to specific audiences.
UC Davis Continuing and Professional Education, International has joined the Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) project between the United States and Japan. As a partner of Sophia University, Ochanomizu University and University of Shizuoka, UC Davis will join a network of 10 American and three Japanese universities that will utilize COIL to enhance access to international learning experiences and deepen intercultural and global competencies of their students.
On March 16th, Takahito Matsunaga, one of our Intensive English Program students winter quarter from Ritsumeikan University, gave an impactful speech at the graduation ceremony that recaps the valuable friendships and connections that UC Davis students and Takahito created.

On upcoming Saturday and Sunday April 7th-8th, to commemorate the Japanese Cherry Blossom festival, you can enjoy the Davis Cherry Blossom festival consisting of Taiko drums, dances, music performances, drinks, food, and great company. The event is open to public, free entry, and perfect to mark the spring time!
On April 2nd, 2018, UC Davis Extension – Center for International Education commences its spring quarter, with a noticeably warmer weather in town.
Take time to reflect: what else has renewed other than the school grades? Spring in many cultures symbolize a new beginning – encourage yourself to refresh and learn, like the little tree buds embracing new individual growth. Some IEPP students may join us for another quarter, while others are new to the IEP classes at the International Center.
Our Saudi Arabian Students come from SABIC, one of the world’s largest petrochemical manufacturers. It is a public Saudi Arabian company that has operations in over 50 countries in the world. Our students came to UC Davis International Center as a Custom Program to learn English in Science and Technology fields. This quarter, they enjoyed learning professional English in a collaborative environment, as well as a field trip to Lake Tahoe!
