Celebrate Nelson Mandela's 100th Birthday with the Mandela Washington Fellows

UC Davis Global Affairs, in collaboration with the City of Davis’ Human Relations Commission, invites you to join the UC Davis Mandela Washington Fellows in celebrating Nelson Mandela’s 100th birthday on Wednesday, July 18 from 6:30 – 8:00 pm at the UC Davis International Center.

This free community event includes a short program, cake, entertainment and family-friendly games.

Have you ever seen rosy, delicate sakura cherry blossom petals blowing through breezy spring winds? 

On upcoming Saturday and Sunday April 7th-8th, to commemorate the Japanese Cherry Blossom festival, you can enjoy the Davis Cherry Blossom festival consisting of Taiko drums, dances, music performances, drinks, food, and great company. The event is open to public, free entry, and perfect to mark the spring time!

Field trip to Napa

Our hardworking Graduate English for Science and Technology program students went on a Napa Winery field trip! They visited V. Sattui Winery in St. Helena that is the second most visited winery in Napa, California, and the graduate students from several renowned Japanese universities (Osaka, Waseda, Chuo, Ritsumeikan Universities) enjoyed learning about the wine-making technology in Napa.
